Motorcycle Live, now also known as MCL26, will be held at Birmingham’s NEC from November 21-29. More than 50 manufacturers will bring motorcycles to the event, ranging from superbikes and scramblers to full-dress tourers and electric scooters. The attraction is therefore not limited to viewing the next wave of models on stands: the programme also gives visitors several ways to engage with motorcycles more directly.

Riding activities for different ages

The event’s Riding Zones are aimed at different ages and experience levels. Children from the age of two can try balance bikes in the Kiddimoto area. The Triumph TXP Experience offers slightly older participants the chance to ride electric-powered motorcycles around a purpose-built indoor track. For novices aged 14 and over, the Learn2Ride Zone will cover the fundamentals of riding and the knowledge needed to start riding on the road.

Visitors who want to move beyond looking can sign up for a free test ride in the eRide Zone or Elite Test Ride Zone. RST, AGV and Arai will supply the riding equipment. Participation requires a full licence that has been held for at least 12 months, making the activity available to riders who already meet that requirement.

A new stage and an adventure focus

The new Super Stage in Hall 4 will host guest interviews presented by James Whitham and Grace Webb. Its schedule will also include a lunchtime quiz and technical talks across all nine days of the show. Matt Crowhurst will once again present the Moto Action Show, with FMX performers and trials riders appearing several times each day.

Adventure riders get a dedicated new attraction in Hall 3. The ABR Festival Zone is planned as a condensed version of the outdoor ABR Festival held in June, bringing guests and talks into the exhibition. That gives experienced adventure riders dedicated content while also offering newcomers an introduction to adventure riding.
