Honda V3R900 E-Compressor takes shape for production
Honda has shown the production-intended V3R900 E-Compressor at EICMA 2026, with an electronically controlled compressor and new RoadSync functions.

Honda used EICMA 2026 to unveil the V3R900 E-Compressor in the form intended for mass production. The naked motorcycle retains the muscular appearance and asymmetric layout of the prototype shown at EICMA 2025, but the project has now moved into a more defined stage as development continues.
The version on display is set to use a titanium fuel tank, exhaust pipes and silencer. Honda will also fit the latest evolution of its RoadSync system, including an upgraded Human Machine Interface intended to make interaction more intuitive. New artificial-intelligence-supported functions are part of the package, with Honda planning to introduce the connectivity features gradually on other compatible models.
A compressor independent of engine speed
The project’s defining technical feature is an electronically controlled compressor. It can control intake-air compression independently of engine speed, rather than relying on a fixed relationship between the two. Honda links the system to immediate torque from low revs, direct throttle response and strong performance throughout the operating range.
The engine has a 900-cc displacement, while Honda says it can deliver performance comparable with that of a 1,200-cc engine. Development is progressing quickly, and further information on the timetable for starting mass production is due to be announced in the coming period.
