BMW Motorrad Days will skip Garmisch-Partenkirchen in 2027
BMW Motorrad is reworking the event’s format, with more emphasis on regional gatherings in international markets.

BMW Motorrad Days will not be held in Garmisch-Partenkirchen in 2027. BMW Motorrad has told the municipality that it is revising the event concept, moving away from dependence on a single major meeting and towards activities aimed at customers in different international markets.
The decision follows the event’s return to the Bavarian town in 2024, after a period in Berlin. Its renewed homecoming was followed by a strong 2025 edition, which drew more than 40,000 visitors from around 50 countries. That scale made the gathering an important meeting point for BMW riders and fans from well beyond Germany.
A broader event strategy
BMW Motorrad is not ending Motorrad Days as a concept. The company is placing greater weight on events held in the markets where its customers are based, rather than bringing the whole community together for one very large gathering in southern Germany. The established event combined new-motorcycle presentations and test rides with exhibitions and live entertainment.
For Garmisch-Partenkirchen, the change removes an event that had become closely linked with the town. The municipality is now considering a possible replacement with GaPa Tourismus: a new central motorcycle gathering scheduled for the first weekend of July. The proposal is still at a very early stage, so its format has yet to take shape.
