The EICMA Gaming Arena turns MotoGP 26 into something more demanding than a screen-based game. At EICMA 2026, visitors can climb onto a real motorcycle mounted on a dynamic platform and ride the PC version of the software. The platform reproduces movement, vibration and load transfer, adding physical reactions to the virtual circuit instead of leaving the rider with visuals and controls alone.

During an early press test, the virtual motorcycle was a Yamaha YZR-M1 and the circuit was Misano. The run consisted of three laps. The opening lap was mainly spent learning the motorcycle’s behaviour and the simulator’s responses, but the pace rose quickly from lap two. The attempt then developed into a solo charge towards victory.

Virtual riding with physical demands

The more revealing part was not the race outcome, but how quickly real riding technique carried across to the simulator. Lines, braking, trajectory management and changes of direction remained useful almost immediately. The physical workload was also clear: concentration and effort were required from the opening metres. That combination shows why the installation feels substantially different from a conventional motorcycle game—the motorcycle and platform respond to the rider as the virtual lap unfolds. The EICMA Gaming Arena is located in Hall 9 for visitors who want to try it.
