Trackting and TPZ Italia have presented a range of motorcycle seats with integrated GPS anti-theft protection at EICMA 2026. The technology is called Trackting DOT and was developed by Trackting for TPZ Italia. Instead of appearing as a separate device on the motorcycle, the tracking hardware is concealed within the seat itself.

The installation requires no external wiring and does not tap into the motorcycle’s electrical system. Setup is completed through the app in 2 minutes. A key-ring-style Tag then identifies the owner: protection arms itself when the owner moves away from the bike and disarms when the Tag comes back within range. As a result, the system does not track the motorcycle while its owner is riding it, while the operating strategy also reduces battery consumption.

Alerts, mapping and battery life

If the motorcycle is moved without the Tag, Trackting DOT sends an alert and places a warning call to the owner, while beginning live tracking. The app displays the motorcycle’s location, direction and speed on a map. It also provides options for sharing the location and alerting the authorities.

The unit combines satellite GPS, a digital accelerometer, a multi-operator SIM and an integrated rechargeable battery. Claimed endurance reaches up to 6 months in standby or up to 4 months with daily motorcycle use. Charging is handled by a USB-C cable beneath the seat, while the app monitors battery status and warns the owner when it reaches a critical level. The built-in SIM provides 2G/4G cellular connectivity.

Seats equipped with Trackting DOT are sold through TPZ Italia’s online shop, which lists compatible motorcycle models and their prices. The GPS anti-theft service costs 39 euros per year, is renewed through the Trackting app and includes 14 days of free use after the first activation. The concept’s practical appeal is the way it makes the complete seat part of the security system, avoiding exposed wiring and any intervention in the motorcycle’s electrical installation.
