Cellcius C-01: An electric hypersport built around eight swappable cells
The Clandestine Design Group concept uses eight 3 kWh modules, allowing the battery system to be charged from a regular household socket.

The Cellcius C-01 is an electric E-Hypersport concept whose most notable feature is its energy layout. Instead of relying on one large battery pack, it carries eight removable cells, with four mounting points on either side of the motorcycle’s central body. That arrangement makes the battery count part of the riding concept: the rider can decide how many modules to take along for a given journey.
Eight cells, 24 kWh
Each cell has a capacity of 3 kWh, producing a total of 24 kWh with all eight installed. The concept links the number of cells to the motorcycle’s output and performance, with more modules intended to provide more power. With the complete set fitted, the motorcycle is said to weigh 220 kg.
The modular layout is also presented as a possible way to avoid the mass of a conventional single battery unit. A traditional pack can offer greater range, but it adds weight; the C-01 instead allows its energy load to be adjusted to the planned trip. That is the central practical idea behind the unusual arrangement, rather than simply a visual exercise in futuristic design.
Each cell can be charged from a regular household wall socket, so the system does not depend on having a garage or dedicated home charging equipment. The modules can be carried separately, including in a backpack, giving apartment residents a way to move the charging hardware indoors or take it elsewhere. The cells could, for example, be transported to places such as coffee shops while away from home.
The C-01 remains a concept, and the Clandestine Design Group has not confirmed either production or pricing. It has nevertheless won the 2026 Australian Good Design Award in the Concept Design category. The award brings attention to a motorcycle that treats removable energy storage as a core part of everyday usability, not merely as a different battery package.
