Zontes is preparing the ZT703-R for its European arrival, adding a naked model to its triple-cylinder 703 family. The motorcycle appeared at EICMA 2025 and was initially expected in spring, but it has now been presented to European importers as a model coming soon. The range also includes the 703F, 703RR and 703T; the R takes the same engine family into a stripped-back format aimed at everyday riding.

Its engine is a liquid-cooled 699-cubic-centimetre triple with double overhead camshafts. Maximum output is 95 horsepower at 11,500 rpm, while peak torque is 74.4 Nm at 8,500 rpm. An A2-compatible version is available at 35 kW, or 47.6 horsepower, and keeps the same equipment specification. The ZT703-R is offered in red and black. A Spanish price of 6,488 euros is cited for the model.

Aluminium chassis, Marzocchi suspension

The motorcycle uses a cast-aluminium twin-beam perimeter frame, which Zontes states weighs 12 kilograms, along with a one-piece hollow aluminium swingarm. Marzocchi supplies both ends of the suspension. The 43-millimetre inverted fork has preload, compression and rebound adjustment and provides 120 millimetres of travel. At the rear, the monoshock can be adjusted for preload and rebound, with 56 millimetres of travel.

Braking hardware separates the R from the RR: the naked model uses Nissin components rather than Brembo. Its front setup consists of twin 300-millimetre discs, a radial master cylinder and radial four-piston calipers, backed by a 240-millimetre rear disc. Michelin Power GP2 tyres are fitted in 120/70-17 front and 180/55-17 rear sizes. Wheelbase is 1,450 mm, seat height is 820 mm, and the 16-litre tank includes a 2.9-litre reserve. Wet weight is 198 kilograms, while claimed fuel consumption is 4.4 litres per 100 km.

A full electronic package

The ride-by-wire throttle brings cruise control and five riding modes: Road, Sport, Rain, Track and Rider, with the last one configurable. A bidirectional quickshifter is standard. A six-axis IMU manages cornering ABS and traction control, giving the middleweight naked a specification that goes well beyond basic rider aids.

The colour TFT display provides four interface layouts, smartphone mirroring, adaptive lighting and tyre-pressure monitoring. Keyless 3.0 is also included; it works from a distance of 1.5 metres and has IP67 certification. Heated grips, USB Type-A and Type-C ports and a 6-Ah lithium battery complete the listed equipment. With this combination of output, adjustable suspension and electronics, the ZT703-R enters the 703 family as a particularly well-equipped naked model, while the Spanish figure remains the only specific price cited for it.
