EICMA 2026 puts a particularly active sport naked category in the spotlight. These motorcycles dispense with unnecessary bodywork without giving up technology or performance intent: they are aimed at spirited road riding while retaining the ability to make sense on a racetrack. The formula combines muscular styling with sophisticated electronics and sporty chassis design.

From hyper-nakeds to smaller-capacity machines

At the sharp end of the segment, European manufacturers continue to raise the ceiling. The recipe now includes outputs above 200 horsepower, aerodynamic appendages, carbon wheels and components with a clear racing focus. Hyper-nakeds are therefore moving closer to competition motorcycles in technological terms, while keeping the essential identity of minimally faired road machines.

Asian brands, meanwhile, are appearing as mature and technologically advanced contenders rather than merely following European companies. The range extends from sharply focused middle-capacity triples to small- and middle-capacity four-cylinder motorcycles whose character is concentrated at high revs.

The motorcycles mentioned for the show include the Ducati Streetfighter V4 SP, Triumph Street Triple 798 RS, BMW M 1000 RS, ZX Moto 820R, Fantic Motor Stealth 500 and Fantic Motor Stealth 125. Taken together, they illustrate a category that runs from extreme hyper-nakeds to more compact triple- and four-cylinder approaches, instead of being tied to one engine or performance formula.
