Ducati is adding two highly specified SP versions to its V4 range: the Panigale V4 SP and Streetfighter V4 SP. Both use a black-and-red design and gain carbon wheels, extra performance equipment and aerodynamic changes intended to make their circuit potential more usable. Ducati has scheduled their arrival for March 2027.

Panigale V4 SP: more aero, more circuit hardware

The Panigale V4 SP uses the 1103cc V4 Desmosedici Stradale, based on the engine fitted to the Panigale V4 S. Ducati has raised the rev limiter by 500rpm, fitted longer final gearing and revised internal components to reduce mechanical friction. The claimed output is 215bhp at 13,500rpm, with 89lb.ft of torque arriving at 11,000rpm.

Its specification includes carbon-fibre wheels approved for pillion use, a dry clutch and Ducati Racing Gearbox, whose neutral position sits below first gear. A billet-machined steering head carries a unique serial number, while the fuel tank is made from brushed aluminium.

The aerodynamic package adds side-mounted cornering aids at the base of the fairings and larger front wings. Ducati claims that the changes increase vertical load by 25% at 167mph (270km/h), compared with the standard Panigale V4. Electronic Öhlins Smart EC3 suspension works at both ends, and an adjustable rear-shock linkage rod derived from the Panigale V4 R allows ride height to be altered separately from spring preload.

Adjustable billet-aluminium footpegs and carbon-fibre heel guards allow further changes to the riding position. A track-only Akrapovič exhaust can add a claimed 10.8bhp and remove 6.6kg. In that configuration, the stated kerb weight is 180.4kg without the motorcycle’s 17 litres of fuel.

Streetfighter V4 SP: the same recipe without the fairing

The Streetfighter V4 SP retains the 1103cc V4 engine, but Ducati quotes 211bhp at 13,500rpm and 88.2lb.ft of torque at 11,250rpm. Peak torque therefore arrives at higher revs than in the Panigale. Its split five-spoke carbon wheels are claimed to reduce unsprung weight by 950g, while lowering moment of inertia by 12% at the front and 19% at the rear.

The naked SP gains carbon-fibre winglets, carbon front and rear mudguards and a brushed-aluminium fuel tank. Its unique number is laser-engraved on the blacked-out handlebars. Braking uses a Brembo MCS 19.21 front master cylinder with remote adjuster and Brembo Hypure front calipers. A billet-aluminium dry clutch is also fitted, but the Streetfighter does not get the Panigale’s racing gearbox.

Both motorcycles feature lean-sensitive electronics, blanking plates for removing road equipment on track days and adjustable footpegs. The Streetfighter uses electronically adjusted Öhlins NIX 30 forks, a TTX 36 rear shock and a steering damper. Settings are controlled through a 6.9in colour TFT dashboard. The two SP versions therefore pursue the premium special-edition formula with more expensive components, lower wheel inertia and a clearer circuit focus, while retaining the core V4 identity of each model.
