Ducati has unveiled the 2027 Panigale V4 SP at EICMA, a Sport Production version that draws on technology from the company’s MotoGP and World Superbike programmes. Its recipe combines elements from the Panigale V4 R and the Superleggera, giving Ducati’s superbike a more specialised, race-focused specification.

The SP package includes carbon-fibre wheels and an STM EVO-SBK dry clutch. The major transmission upgrade is Ducati’s Racing Gearbox, which uses a racing shift layout with neutral positioned below first gear. It is paired with Ducati Neutral Lock, a mechanical mechanism intended to prevent unwanted neutral selections when the rider makes particularly aggressive downshifts below first gear.

New aero, familiar V4

The new aerodynamic package brings larger wings and Corner Sidepods to the lower fairing. Power still comes from the 1,103 cc Desmosedici Stradale V4 used by the regular production model. For European-specification machines, Ducati states an output of 216 hp at 13,500 rpm. In other words, the SP’s changes are concentrated on the transmission, chassis equipment, electronics and aerodynamics rather than on a different headline engine output.

Öhlins Smart EC 3.0 electronic suspension is matched with an adjustable rear link derived from the Panigale V4 R. The specification also brings a DID ERV7 drive chain and an updated electronics package derived from the Superleggera V4. The visual treatment is called Winter Test, combining matte black bodywork, red highlights and a brushed-aluminium fuel tank.

The racing context behind the package is substantial: in the 2026 WSBK season, Nicolò Bulega won 32 of the 36 races and Iker Lecuona won the remaining four. In MotoGP, Marc Márquez is listed at the top of the standings with a 44-point advantage over Jorge Martin, with three rounds remaining. Ducati will also present SP versions of the Streetfighter V4 and Panigale V2.
