Benda has entered the adventure class with the Capra 700, its first motorcycle of this type, unveiled at EICMA. It is aimed primarily at road use rather than extreme off-road riding, but its hardware is more serious than a soft crossover formula: a 21in front wheel is paired with long-travel suspension at both ends.

A V-twin with long-travel hardware

The engine is a liquid-cooled 65-degree V-twin of approximately 692cc, producing 72bhp at 9000rpm and 50lb.ft at 6500rpm. Its equipment includes ride-by-wire, a six-speed gearbox and a slipper clutch. Benda says the motorcycle was developed specifically for Europe, bringing its European design team together with engineers in Hangzhou.

A steel trellis frame carries an aluminium swingarm, an upside-down fork and a rear monoshock with a separate reservoir. Travel is 230mm at the front and 220mm at the rear, with compression and rebound adjustment at both ends. The 21in front and 18in rear wheels use 90/90 and 150/70 tyres respectively. Pirelli Scorpion Rally STR tyres can be seen on the motorcycles shown at the presentation.

Brembo braking and useful equipment

Stopping power comes from a single front disc with a four-piston radial Brembo caliper, plus a single-piston Brembo caliper at the rear. Two-channel ABS and traction control are included. The styling combines exposed mechanical elements with a high-mounted twin exhaust, while fog lights sit within the DRL signature. Crash bars are integrated into the design from the outset rather than added as an afterthought.

A vertical TFT display, USB-A socket and a rack above the tank add to the equipment list, with the rack intended for mounting extra gear. The seat is 850mm high and the kerb weight is 220kg. The fuel tank holds 18 litres, the wheelbase measures 1599mm and the overall dimensions are 2306mm long, 1050mm wide and 1397mm tall.

George Schelfaut, transportation designer at Benda Motor Europe, calls the move into adventure motorcycles an important step in broadening the company’s range and reaching new riders. The Capra follows Benda’s expansion beyond cruisers: the company entered the UK in 2025 through MotoGB with the Chinchilla 500, NapoleonBob 500 and LFC700, followed by the V4 Dark Flag 950.
