Zero Project Ventura: an electric supermoto for A1 riders
Zero has shown an electric supermoto with an estimated 93-mile range and a road version expected in summer 2027.

Zero Motorcycles used EICMA in Milan to present Project Ventura, an electric machine shaped around the supermoto idea. It is intended for A1 licence holders from the age of 17, giving the company a route into a younger part of the motorcycle market. The 17-inch wheels and emphasis on agility suit the format, while the electric drivetrain brings the immediate response associated with battery power.
Zero puts peak output above 26.8 bhp, although the nominal figure is still to be confirmed. Top speed is estimated at around 80 mph, with a projected range of 93 miles. The company also says the Ventura can sustain 65 mph continuously. Those figures position it as an everyday motorcycle with a lively character rather than an electric machine built around outright performance. The supermoto layout should give the package a distinct identity without taking it outside the A1 category.
Equipment and everyday usability
ABS is part of the standard specification, and the chassis is designed to carry a pillion. Zero is also including mobile-phone connectivity and onboard Level 2 AC charging, making public charging points part of the intended use case. Pricing is expected to begin below £8,000. Zero has not announced the battery capacity or charging time, leaving those two details as important measures of how useful the Ventura will be once it reaches the road.
Jim Callahan, Zero’s Chief Product and Partnerships Officer, said the project was guided by three aims: creating a motorcycle with strong visual appeal, making it a natural next step for riders coming from e-bikes and e-motos, and delivering a genuinely fun experience. The road version is expected in summer 2027. Zero also displayed the LS3, an urban scooter intended for central-city trips and faster roads around the outskirts. Project Ventura, however, is the company’s clearer statement in the small electric motorcycle and A1 supermoto space.
