Aprilia RS 660 Phillip Island Tribute marks the end of an era
The special RS 660 celebrates Aprilia’s racing connection with Phillip Island through distinctive graphics, individual numbering and standard equipment.

Aprilia has revealed the RS 660 Phillip Island Tribute, a special version of its sportbike created to celebrate the company’s long association with the Australian circuit. The motorcycle is scheduled to appear at EICMA in Milan between 5 and 8 November. The timing gives the launch added significance: after 2026, the Australian Grand Prix is expected to move to a new street circuit in Adelaide, removing Phillip Island from the MotoGP calendar.
The Tribute keeps the regular RS 660’s mechanical package, so its distinction comes from the finish and equipment rather than a change to the motorcycle’s core hardware. Its white base is paired with green sections on the side panels and tail, plus red wheel rims. The bodywork carries a drawing of the Phillip Island layout, the wording “Phillip Island Circuit” and a chequered-flag motif. A tank emblem refers to Aprilia’s wins at the venue, while each example receives an individual serial number on the upper triple clamp. The passenger-seat cover is included in the standard specification.
The circuit behind the tribute
Phillip Island is more than a styling reference for Aprilia. Aprilia Racing has taken ten victories at the circuit across the different classes of the MotoGP World Championship, and the RSV4 has also brought the company success in the World Superbike Championship. The latest MotoGP win came in 2025, when Raúl Fernández took victory aboard the RS-GP. That result helped Aprilia reach 300 wins in the Motorcycle World Championship.
The special graphics surround the same 659cc parallel-twin engine used by the RS 660. It produces 105hp (103bhp) at 10,400rpm and 70Nm (51.6lb ft) at 8,400rpm, while a 35kW version is offered for riders with an A2 licence. In that form, the Phillip Island Tribute links a road-going middleweight sportbike to one of Aprilia’s most significant racing venues just as the circuit approaches a major change in its MotoGP future.
