Ducati’s Desmo450 MX Factory is now a LEGO Technic model, bringing the motocross machine’s visual identity together with a handful of working mechanical features. The kit contains 457 pieces and is intended for builders aged 10 and over.

The completed model stands 19 cm high, measures 31 cm in length and is 11 cm wide. Both the front and rear suspension function, while turning the rear wheel sends drive through the chain to move the model’s cylinder up and down. Ducati Corse and Ducati branding stickers are included to complete the bike’s competition-inspired appearance.

Builders can use the LEGO Builder app alongside the kit. Its 3D instructions allow the digital model to be rotated, making it easier to follow how the sections connect. That is particularly relevant here because the Technic design relies on beams, axles, gears and other moving mechanical elements rather than only conventional blocks.

The second Ducati collaboration

The Desmo450 MX Factory is the second Ducati model produced through the companies’ collaboration. It follows the 1,603-piece Panigale V4 R released in 2020, which featured a three-speed gearbox plus neutral connected to the rear wheel.

The full-size Desmo450 MX first appeared in April 2025 and marked Ducati’s first motocross motorcycle. Its engine uses a desmodromic valve system. In the UK, the Desmo450 MX arrived at £11,245, while the Factory version is expected there in 2027 at £10,795, with revised gearing and reinforced components among the changes described for it.

The LEGO Technic Desmo450 MX Factory is available through the LEGO website for £44.99. Technic has used mechanically focused construction since its introduction in 1982, and this set makes a natural match for a motorcycle whose appeal extends beyond its bodywork to the way its moving parts work together.
