Bulega takes 50th WorldSBK win at Jerez
The 2026 world champion led every lap of Race 1, reaching the milestone during his final WorldSBK weekend.

Nicolo Bulega reached a landmark in Jerez by winning WorldSBK Race 1 and claiming his 50th victory in the championship. The Aruba.it Ducati rider controlled the race from the start and led every lap, with Sam Lowes behind him. The result came during Bulega’s final WorldSBK weekend, ahead of his expected move to MotoGP.
The achievement is especially notable because Bulega has reached that total in only his third WorldSBK season. He is already the 2026 world champion, and he got to 50 wins faster than Alvaro Bautista, Jonathan Rea and Toprak Razgatlioglu. Razgatlioglu won the 2024 and 2025 titles with BMW, during two of the seasons in which he faced Bulega.
Bulega said the number mattered to him and explained that he wanted to end his WorldSBK paddock career with a strong performance. He credited Ducati’s package and the team’s work for the win, while also describing Jerez as slower and dirtier this year than it was last season. The result maintained Ducati’s perfect run through this point of 2026: the manufacturer had won every race up to and including Race 1 at Jerez, with Bulega and Iker Lecuona sharing those victories.
