Christian Iddon left without a 2027 ride after Sencat Yamaha exit
Sencat Yamaha will leave the BSB, leaving race winner Christian Iddon without a confirmed programme for next season.

Christian Iddon currently has no ride for 2027 after Sencat Yamaha announced its departure from the British Superbike Championship. The team made the announcement during the final race weekend of the year at Brands Hatch, confirming that it would not continue in the series next season. The decision leaves Iddon’s future open both within BSB and beyond it.
Iddon joined Sencat Yamaha for the 2026 campaign. In a post about his future, he said the timing of the decision had made the search for another seat especially difficult, whether in BSB or elsewhere. He also said that the realistic, viable options he had been pursuing were exhausted. Even so, he has not abandoned hope that an opportunity will still appear.
The BSB race winner was equally clear that he is not ready to stop competing. Iddon said he feels he still has plenty to give and prove. He indicated that 2026 could become his final BSB season if circumstances do not change in the coming months, but that remains a conditional possibility rather than an announced retirement.
The remaining window for 2027
The 2027 BSB season will begin at Oulton Park in early May, while official pre-season testing is due to get underway at Donington in March. Iddon therefore remains without a confirmed racing programme as the next cycle approaches, while hoping to find a route back onto the grid.
