Peter Hickman is set to contest the Macau Grand Prix on November 19–22, 2026, while Davey Todd is absent from the 20-rider entry list. That omission is significant: Todd has won the event at each of its previous two editions. Paul Jordan will also take part, alongside Rob Hodson, who won a race at the 2026 Classic TT.

A disrupted campaign for Todd

Hickman, a 14-time Isle of Man TT winner, and Todd are teammates at 8Ten Racing and business partners. Both riders suffered serious crashes in the Daytona 200 in March. Todd, the 2025 TT winner, subsequently missed the 2026 Isle of Man TT and the North West 200 before returning to competition in the BMW F900 R Cup at Brands Hatch. He is also described as a BMW M1000 RR rider.

Missing Macau adds another major setback to Todd’s troubled 2026 season. Earlier in the year, the two riders withdrew 8Ten Racing from the British Superbike Championship. The decision was linked to their recovery, a stronger focus on road racing and the different motorcycle specifications used in BSB.

BSB has since confirmed a technical overhaul, but Hickman recently said that 8Ten Racing has no plans to return. With Macau representing the final opportunity to compete in a major road race during 2026, Todd’s absence removes one of the event’s leading recent winners from the closing field.
