Yamaha Ténéré 4 Concept takes aim at the A2 adventure class
Yamaha’s new prototype pairs a single-cylinder engine with 21- and 18-inch wheels and a distinctly off-road specification.

Yamaha has brought the Ténéré 4 Concept to EICMA 2026, previewing an adventure motorcycle intended for the A2 licence segment. It remains a prototype rather than a road-ready machine, but its design and construction are already close to the form expected of a production model.
A vertically oriented, race-influenced front end and a flat seat give the concept a clear adventure profile. Its bodywork houses a new single-cylinder engine, while the displacement and power figure remain undisclosed. The output is expected to stay below the 35 kW limit associated with the A2 category.
A focused chassis specification
The prototype carries KYB suspension and spoked wheels measuring 21- and 18-inch, shod in Michelin Anakee Wild tyres; its exhaust is a compact titanium Akrapovič unit. Because it remains a prototype, the Ténéré 4 Concept has yet to receive turn signals, a licence-plate holder or other road equipment. Yamaha is showing it in Hall 10, Stand E90, at EICMA 2026.
