VARG SM Sköll sells out before its lap record is revealed
All 500 electric supermotos were allocated in under 48 hours, with no second production run planned.

Stark Future has announced that all 500 units of the limited VARG SM Sköll were allocated in under 48 hours. The road-legal electric supermoto opened for worldwide orders at 11:00 CET on September 16, and every unit had been spoken for by Friday, September 18. The company also stated that there would be no second production run.
That demand came before one of the motorcycle’s central claims was made public. Stark Future says the Sköll set the outright lap record at the Autòdrom de Sitges-Terramar on September 10, six days before orders opened. The same announcement identifies Carlos Sainz as the previous record holder and says his mark was set in a Redbull Audi R8 - GT3 race car, remaining unbeaten for 14 years. The result stayed confidential until the related film premiered on September 20.
A black finish as the defining feature
The Sköll’s distinction is not an expanded equipment list. Instead, its visual identity comes from an all-black finish applied to every eligible component, with the process selected according to the material. Stark Future lists powder coating, anodising and a specialised deep-black treatment, rather than a single coat of ordinary paint being used across the motorcycle.
Sköll is the second limited Stark Future edition this year to complete its allocation ahead of schedule. It follows the Factory Editions, which comprised 200 VARG MX and 300 VARG EX motorcycles; those editions had fixed production limits and individual numbering. The standard VARG SM remains available to order for buyers who want the model without the Sköll edition’s production limit.
