SWM Stormbreaker Speciale gives the V1200 a bagger profile
The new fully faired version combines a liquid-cooled 1,200cc V-twin, hard luggage and 61.2 hp, with dealer arrivals expected in 2027.

SWM has unveiled the Stormbreaker Speciale at EICMA 2026, a fully faired development of the V1200 custom cruiser. The new bodywork gives the motorcycle a markedly different identity: a broad front fairing, round LED headlight and hard saddlebags move it into bagger territory. The finish is entirely black, with flame graphics picked out by restrained gold accents.
Liquid-cooled V-twin
Power comes from a liquid-cooled 1,200cc V-twin with a 45-degree cylinder angle. Its stated output is 61.2 hp at 5,500 rpm, while peak torque reaches 90 Nm at 4,000 rpm. A five-speed gearbox and wet multi-plate clutch handle the drive. The figure is above the 58.5 hp quoted for the standard V1200. The engine traces its design back to Harley-Davidson and was acquired by the Chinese group that owns SWM.
The chassis uses a conventional telescopic fork, twin rear shock absorbers and 16-inch alloy wheels. Tyre sizes are 130/90 at the front and 150/80 at the rear. Braking is provided by two front discs, supported by dual-channel ABS.
Ready to ride, the Stormbreaker Speciale weighs 271 kg. Its seat is 720 mm above the ground, with 110 mm of clearance underneath. The 14-litre tank feeds an engine linked to a stated top speed of 165 km/h, figures that fit the bike’s relaxed long-distance brief rather than a pursuit of outright performance. SWM expects the model to reach dealerships sometime during 2027.
