Morbidelli T802: three adventure versions from road to dirt
The T802X, T802XR and T802XR Rally share a 799cc twin but take different approaches to touring, mixed surfaces and tougher off-road riding.

Morbidelli has unveiled the T802 family at EICMA 2026, bringing three adventure motorcycles to the same platform while giving each a distinct intended role. The T802X is the road-and-touring choice, the T802XR is set up for a blend of asphalt and dirt, and the T802XR Rally sits at the top of the range for more demanding off-road use.
One engine, a substantial equipment package
All three motorcycles use a steel frame and a liquid-cooled, four-stroke, eight-valve parallel twin displacing 799cc. It produces 94.5 hp at 9,000 rpm and 80 Nm at 7,500 rpm, with a six-speed gearbox, slipper clutch and quickshifter. Fuel capacity is 20.5 litres. Morbidelli gives each version its own frame and suspension configuration rather than treating the range as a single specification with cosmetic differences.
The standard electronics package includes two-channel Bosch cornering ABS with the option to deactivate it, traction control, four riding modes, ride-by-wire, cruise control, tyre-pressure monitoring and a steering damper. A 7-inch TFT display brings connectivity, navigation mirroring and the T-BOX system. Heated grips and seat, a USB port and illuminated handlebar switches are also included. The design was created in Italy by Morbidelli’s team, with an inverted-Y light signature and exposed aluminium surfaces providing the family’s main visual cues.
Three ways to approach adventure riding
The T802X is aimed primarily at road use and touring, including comfortable passenger carrying. It weighs 189 kg without fuel, has an 830 mm seat and a 1,520 mm wheelbase. Fork travel is 209.6 mm, while the front brake uses twin 298 mm floating discs with four-piston calipers. Metzeler tyres measure 110/80 R19 at the front and 150/70 R17 at the rear, reinforcing the model’s road-oriented role.
The T802XR takes the mixed-surface route, using Pirelli 90/90-21 front and 150/70 R18 rear tyres, plus twin 320 mm floating front discs. Its weight without fuel is 186 kg, with an 850 mm seat, a 1,524 mm wheelbase and 209.6 mm of fork travel. The T802XR Rally keeps the XR’s wheel and brake dimensions but extends fork travel to 233 mm, raises the seat to 875 mm and stretches the wheelbase to 1,530 mm. At 187 kg, it adds dedicated ergonomics, longer suspension travel, greater ground clearance and a rear shock with five preload positions, making it the most dirt-focused member of the family.
