Ducati Multistrada V4 S Grand Tour brings full touring equipment
The 170-hp V4, radar assistance, semi-active suspension and 60 litres of luggage capacity come as standard.

Ducati presented the Multistrada V4 S Grand Tour on 1 October 2026 as a version of the Multistrada V4 with long-distance equipment built into its standard specification. The 1,158 cc V4 Granturismo is joined by front and rear radar, semi-active suspension, heated equipment for rider and passenger, and side cases offering 60 litres of combined capacity. European dealerships are expected to receive the motorcycle from November 2026.
The Grand Tour has its own visual identity. Red details and Grand Tour branding are combined with black finishes for the frame, swingarm, handlebar, risers, triple clamps and side cases, while Grand Tour branding is also applied to the rims. Ducati is positioning it as a motorcycle ready for extended trips from its first day, with the emphasis placed on comfort, practicality and control when the journey involves long hours in the saddle.
A touring package fitted from the factory
The key electronic feature is the radar system, supporting Adaptive Cruise Control, Blind Spot Detection and Forward Collision Warning. The standard safety specification also includes TPMS with tyre-pressure information on the dashboard, auxiliary LED lights, dynamic indicators and a rear fog light. Together, these systems address both rider assistance on long transfers and the motorcycle’s visibility at night, in fog and in poor weather.
The technopolymer side cases are integrated into the design and provide 60 litres of total storage. A centre stand helps with fitting, removing, opening and closing the cases by keeping the motorcycle stable. The side cases and top case are positioned further rearward to give the passenger more comfort and freedom of movement, while the top-case mount is die-cast for added sturdiness.
Heated grips and heated seats for both rider and passenger reinforce the Grand Tour’s travel brief. The hands-free fuel cap allows refuelling while the key remains in a pocket. The same practical approach extends to navigation: Ducati Connect supplies phone mirroring, phone functions, music and map navigation through the colour TFT display.
V4 performance and a load-focused chassis
The Euro 5+ V4 Granturismo has 1,158 cc of displacement and produces 170 hp at 10,750 rpm and 123.8 Nm at 9,000 rpm. Extended Cylinder Deactivation shuts down the rear cylinder bank not only at idle when stationary but also under specific riding conditions. Ducati says the strategy can cut fuel consumption and emissions by up to 6% compared with the previous generation, without affecting the engine’s character or performance.
The counter-rotating crankshaft works against the gyroscopic inertia of the wheels. Ducati links that solution with smooth delivery at low revs, strong mid-range torque and high output at the top end. The chassis consists of an aluminium monocoque frame, a steel-tube subframe and an aluminium double-sided swingarm. The swingarm pivot has been repositioned to increase the anti-squat effect, with the stated aim of improving behaviour when the motorcycle is fully loaded.
Suspension that responds to the load
Marzocchi Ducati Skyhook Suspension DSS Evolution provides semi-active electronic control, with a fork-position sensor, an Auto mode and an 8 mm increase in preload range. Wheel travel is 170 mm at the front and 180 mm at the rear. Predictive logic such as Bump Detection adjusts suspension response in real time according to the road surface, while Auto-levelling recognises the motorcycle’s load and maintains its stance across different configurations.
The Automatic Lowering Device is intended for low-speed manoeuvres and stops. It lowers the motorcycle by up to 30 mm when speed falls below 10 km/h and restores riding height above 50 km/h. Easy Lift opens the suspension hydraulics when the ignition is switched on, reducing the effort needed to lift the motorcycle away from its side stand. Suspension response can also be changed while riding through a control on the left-hand switchgear.
Braking, rider aids and riding modes
Ducati Vehicle Observer estimates the forces acting on the motorcycle through virtual sensors and supports the strategies used by Cornering ABS and Ducati Wheelie Control. The Electronic Combined Braking System distributes braking between the front and rear according to conditions and load. Engine Brake Control provides three intervention levels, while Ducati Brake Light EVO automatically activates the indicators during hard braking to improve the motorcycle’s visibility to following traffic.
The Bosch-Brembo ABS 10.3ME Cornering system works with twin 330 mm front discs and Brembo Stylema radial callipers. A 280 x 6 mm disc is used at the rear. The wheels carry Pirelli SCORPION Trail II tyres in 120/70-19 front and 170/60-17 rear sizes. Four Power Modes and five Riding Modes are available: Sport, Touring, Urban, Wet and Enduro.
The remaining standard equipment includes a full-LED headlight with DRL and Ducati Cornering Lights, a Bosch IMU, cruise control, Vehicle Hold Control, hands-free ignition and Ducati Quick Shift Up & Down. The 6.5-inch TFT display handles the motorcycle’s information and, through phone mirroring, the map-based navigation functions.
Maintenance, warranty and factory choices
Ducati sets valve-clearance checks at 60,000 km. In Europe, the 4EVER programme provides a four-year warranty with unlimited mileage. Roadside Assistance includes roadside support, transport for rider and passenger, a replacement vehicle and four-star hotel accommodation when required during the coverage period. Ducati also describes a network of more than 800 official dealers in over 90 countries.
European availability is expected to begin in November 2026, exclusively in the Grand Tour livery. The rollout is described as extending to the United States in December 2026 and to Asian countries and Australia in April 2027. Ducati Factory Made allows buyers to select brake-caliper colours, seats and suspension configurations in different heights, along with carbon-fibre components.
