CFMOTO has formally entered the superbike class with the V4 SR-RR, the new flagship of its range. The production motorcycle was unveiled at EICMA 2026 in Milan, one year after the prototype shown at the 2025 exhibition. The company has developed it with track use in mind, placing the V4 SR-RR in the 1,000-class superbike arena.

A 997 cc V4 with a reverse-rotating crankshaft

Power comes from a 997 cc V4 with a 90-degree bank angle, designed entirely by CFMOTO. Its rev limit reaches 15,000 rpm, 500 rpm above the prototype’s figure. The crankshaft rotates in the opposite direction, a solution CFMOTO links to MotoGP racing, while the company says the engine involves more than 40 patents. Its crankshaft webs are titanium and are manufactured by Pankl.

The engine is also part of the chassis architecture: a compact front section bolts to the cylinder heads. That arrangement is paired with an adjustable chassis-bracing system and fully adjustable Öhlins suspension. Dry weight is approximately 180 kg without fuel.

Winglets with independent control

The most unusual technical feature is the active aerodynamic package. The left and right winglets use separate mechanisms and can be adjusted independently. CFMOTO describes this as the first application of its kind on a production motorcycle. Development took place partly in a wind tunnel, and the wing angle changes according to the riding phase, from acceleration and braking to changes of direction.

Equipment includes Brembo Hypure Sport calipers, Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa SP V4 tyres and a full titanium Akrapovič exhaust. CFMOTO also displayed the V4 SR-RR Carbon Black as a show bike, adding further carbon components, an Akrapovič exhaust, GILLES parts and an STM dry-slipper clutch.

A 315.82 km/h pre-production test

Before the production model was unveiled, a pre-production prototype was put through a high-speed test. On 15 June 2026, at the Shangrao test facility, it reached 315.82 km/h. CFMOTO presents the result as a national record and says that independent bodies checked the test. The company also stresses that the motorcycle was not a special racing version. The result carries extra significance for a manufacturer already represented in Greece by the 450SR and present in the adventure segment with the 800MT-X.

CFMOTO has announced neither a price nor a sales date for the V4 SR-RR in Greece or Europe. The company says that final specifications and equipment will be confirmed before launch, so the superbike remains subject to final technical and commercial decisions despite the production presentation.
