CFMOTO is entering Europe’s scooter market with the 125SC-S, a sporty 125cc model designed for urban and suburban commuting. Its purpose is practical, but the visual approach is more assertive than that of a traditional commuter scooter, with sharply creased bodywork and twin-lens LED headlights. CFMOTO has developed the model around accessible performance, safety equipment and connected technology.

The scooter is powered by an all-new 125cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine with four valves, developed in-house by CFMOTO. The company says the unit was designed to combine smooth, responsive power with efficient operation in everyday riding. A 780mm seat height is intended to make the 125SC-S approachable for a wide range of riders.

Safety and equipment

Its safety specification includes dual-channel ABS, traction control, high-intensity LED lighting and an Emergency Stop Signal. During heavy braking, that system activates the brake lights to alert traffic following behind. CFMOTO will offer the 125SC-S in two equipment levels; the upper version adds gas-reservoir rear shock absorbers and heated grips, bringing extra hardware for comfort in demanding conditions.

Everyday practicality comes from 30 litres of under-seat storage, enough for a full-face helmet and an additional half helmet. Two enclosed front gloveboxes provide separate storage, while a USB port allows riders to keep devices charged on the move.

The cockpit is centred on a 6.2-inch TFT display. Bluetooth, NFC keyless access, connected functions and over-the-air software updates form the rest of the technology package. With that combination, CFMOTO is positioning its first European scooter in a busy 125cc class where established manufacturers already have a strong presence.
