Benda Dark Flag 950: 108.77bhp V4 cruiser
Benda’s new cruiser pairs a 948cc V4 with belt drive, Brembo brakes, a low 690mm seat and modern touring equipment.

Benda is taking a different route through the cruiser market with the Dark Flag 950, using a liquid-cooled 948cc V4 rather than the more familiar twin-cylinder layout. The 16-valve four-cylinder engine produces 108.77bhp at 9,000rpm and 85Nm of torque at 8,000rpm. Benda says its character is intended to combine smooth power delivery with responsive acceleration. The model is expected to make its European appearance at EICMA in November.
A six-speed gearbox sends the output to a belt final drive. The Dark Flag also uses an anti-hopping, slip-assisted clutch to help maintain control during aggressive downshifts, while the belt is expected to demand less routine attention than a conventional chain. Its cruiser proportions include a 1,590mm wheelbase and a 690mm seat, with forward-set foot controls and a wide handlebar shaping the riding position.
The chassis combines a tubular steel frame with a steel swingarm. Suspension comes from an upside-down fork and twin hydraulic rear shocks. Brembo provides the brakes: twin 320mm front discs are paired with four-piston radial calipers, while the rear setup uses a 260mm disc and a two-piston radial caliper.
Equipment and design
The equipment package includes cruise control and a 3.6-inch colour TFT display. Its stated figures are 800 nits for brightness and a 120-degree viewing angle. USB-A and USB-C charging ports are fitted, along with an idle shutdown system. The styling follows an established cruiser formula, with a sculpted tank, extended wheelbase and clean rear section; mechanically, the V4 is the motorcycle’s main point of difference.
Five colours are planned: Obsidian Black, Glimmering White, Burgundy Red, Mountain Silver and Prism Grey. Benda has not confirmed UK pricing or availability. Further details are expected when the Dark Flag 950 appears at EICMA in November.
