Yamaha has announced the 2027 European Ténéré 700 range, with the update focused on colours and graphics rather than a mechanical redesign. The most visible change is reserved for the Rally, which replaces its previous blue finish with Heritage White and red detailing. Yamaha announced the renewal on 23 October, and the updated motorcycles are expected at European dealers during the first quarter of 2027. Greek pricing and launch timing remain to be confirmed.

Three versions, unchanged mechanical base

The family continues in Standard, Low and Rally forms. Yamaha retains the 689-cubic-inch?

The family continues in Standard, Low and Rally forms. Yamaha retains the 689-cubic-centimetre parallel-twin CP2 engine and the existing frame. On the Standard, Crystal Graphite replaces Frozen Titanium, while Icon Blue remains available; both colour choices receive revised graphics. The changes therefore alter the visual identity of the range without changing its basic engine-and-frame package.

What sets the Rally apart

The Rally’s distinction is not limited to the new paint scheme. Its seat is 910 mm high, compared with 875 mm for the Standard, while suspension travel measures 230 mm at the front and 220 mm at the rear. Ground clearance is 255 mm. Equipment includes an integrated rally seat, an aluminium engine guard and a high front mudguard, giving the version a more specialised specification for riding away from the tarmac.

Shared specifications

The CP2 engine produces 73.4 horsepower at 9,000 rpm and 6.9 kgf.m of torque at 6,500 rpm. Kerb weight is listed as 208 kg for both the Standard and Low, while the Rally weighs 210 kg. At 860 mm, the Low has the lowest seat in the three-model line-up.

All three versions use a six-speed gearbox and chain final drive. Their common equipment includes 21-inch front and 18-inch rear wheels, twin 282 mm front discs, a 16-litre fuel tank and a 6.3-inch TFT display with MyRide. Yamaha is also scheduled to present the motorcycles at EICMA on 2 November, adding a first public opportunity to see the revised finishes in person.
