Ducati is giving the 2027 Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak a much more explicit racing identity. Its new livery references Ducati’s MotoGP and World Superbike machines, with Ducati Centro Stile and Drudi Performance drawing on the Desmosedici GP and Panigale V4 R used by the factory teams. The update is primarily visual, leaving the Pikes Peak’s established sport-oriented hardware and electronics in place.

A sportier Multistrada chassis

Power still comes from the 1,158cc V4 Granturismo, which produces 167bhp at 10,750rpm and 123.8Nm at 9,000rpm. Ducati’s counter-rotating crankshaft, derived from its MotoGP programme, is retained. The Pikes Peak sets itself apart from the regular Multistrada V4 with a 17-inch front wheel instead of a 19-inch unit, a single-sided swingarm, forged aluminium wheels and semi-active Öhlins suspension.

Its five-spoke wheels carry Pirelli Diablo Rosso IV tyres sized 120/70 ZR17 at the front and 190/55 ZR17 at the rear. Öhlins Smart EC 2.0 units provide 170mm of travel at both ends. The specification also includes a carbon-fibre front mudguard and beak, a road-legal titanium Akrapovič silencer, gold-anodised Öhlins fork sliders, a smoked screen, a V4-marked seat and Ducati Corse badging.

A committed riding position and revised control strategy

The ergonomics are more focused than those of the standard Multistrada V4. The footpegs are higher and further rearward, while the handlebar is lower, narrower and flatter. This arrangement gives the rider more cornering clearance and makes body movement around the bike easier when riding aggressively.

Ducati has also given the Pikes Peak a dedicated Race Riding Mode. Its rev-limiter strategy is intended to make high-rpm shifts easier, while a new quickshifter calibration brings more assertive downshifts. High Power Mode sharpens throttle response. The semi-active Öhlins system uses Ducati’s event-based control approach, adapting its behaviour to what the motorcycle is doing. The Electronic Combined Braking System can also add pressure at the rear when the front brake is applied.

The standard electronics package includes Bosch IMU-assisted cornering ABS, traction control, wheelie control, engine-brake control and vehicle hold control. The five riding modes are Race, Sport, Touring, Urban and Wet. Front and rear radar are fitted as standard, supporting Adaptive Cruise Control, Blind Spot Detection and Forward Collision Warning.

Factory Made options and ownership details

Ducati’s Factory Made programme lets buyers tailor the motorcycle with red forged wheels and either red or black brake calipers, alternative seat heights, extra carbon-fibre parts, auxiliary lights and a full luggage package consisting of panniers and a top box. That gives the Pikes Peak two clear directions: a sharper sports crossover or a more useful long-distance machine.

The touring brief is supported by a 60,000km valve-clearance inspection interval. Ducati’s 4EVER programme adds a four-year unlimited-mileage warranty and roadside assistance. Visordown reports that the 2027 Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak is already available through European Ducati dealers, while Factory Made configurations can be specified through Ducati’s online configurator. Pricing has not yet been announced.
