Honda Racing UK has confirmed that Jason O’Halloran will ride for a different team in 2027. The Australian has 28 British Superbike victories and is now leaving the works squad after returning to it for the 2026 season, marking the end of his second spell with Honda.

O’Halloran shared the Honda garage with Ryan Vickers, but his own campaign proved difficult. He finished 12th in the championship on 178 points and did not take a podium during the season. His form improved in the second half of the year, although that progress did not materially alter his final position. The 2026 campaign was his first return to Honda Racing since 2018.

Vickers leads Honda’s results

Vickers produced the stronger season. He recorded five BSB wins, more than any rider who was not competing on a Ducati, and finished fourth overall with 435 points. The previous season had seen him race for Motocorsa Racing on a Ducati Panigale V4 R before his move to Honda for 2026.

O’Halloran thanked Honda, the team, his personal sponsors and the fans for their support, calling the coming season a “new challenge”. After the championship finale at Brands Hatch, he said he wanted to be back in BSB in 2027 and would share news of his next step when ready. Before returning to BSB, he had spent one season competing in the Endurance World Championship.
