Can-Am recalls 14,014 vehicles over display malfunction
A touchscreen fault can remove speed and warning information and disrupt the signals. BRP’s remedy is an OTA software update for vehicles in the U.S. campaign.

BRP is recalling 14,014 Can-Am vehicles in the United States after identifying a potential touchscreen malfunction. The display may restart, freeze or go blank, affecting the models covered by the campaign: the Origin, Pulse, Canyon, Spyder RT and Spyder F3. The recall applies across all trims of the listed models.
The failure can affect more than the display itself. During a restart, the instrument cluster may stop showing vehicle speed or warning messages. The turn signals and hazard lights may also switch off temporarily or fail to respond. BRP identifies a possible communication failure or a memory-leak-related fault in the touchscreen system as the cause.
Models covered
- 2025-2026 Can-Am Origin
- 2025-2026 Can-Am Pulse
- 2025-2027 Can-Am Canyon
- 2024-2027 Can-Am Spyder RT and Spyder F3
- All trims of the listed models are included
BRP began looking into intermittent display complaints during the summer of 2024, but did not find a common cause at that point. The investigation was reopened in June 2026 after additional field reports. BRP subsequently linked the issue to the use of USB and Bluetooth connections. The company started recall procedures on August 31 and reported 125 display-related complaints as of September 3.
The planned remedy is an Over-The-Air software update. Owners will receive instructions for starting the installation, and authorized dealers can provide assistance when owners do not want or cannot complete the process themselves. The documented campaign is for the U.S. market; the available evidence does not establish whether the same action applies elsewhere.
