The ZONTES 703F ETC is now offered in Greece at €7,595, finished in Black-Grey and sold through the official GORGOLIS S.A. network. The updated version focuses on electronic control and a substantial standard equipment package, while retaining the 703F’s touring and mixed-surface brief.

Its engine is a liquid-cooled 699 cc three-cylinder unit. ZONTES lists 95.2 hp at 10,000 rpm and 75 Nm at 7,500 rpm, with both outputs specified at the crankshaft. The engine uses a 120-degree crankshaft, balancer shafts, a 13.0:1 compression ratio, forged pistons and ceramic-coated cylinders. Fuel delivery comes from Marelli EFI, and the cooling arrangement includes a separate oil radiator.

Five modes and cornering electronics

Electronic throttle control gives the ETC five riding modes: Road, Sport, Rain, Off Road and Rider. Engine-brake adjustment is available in Rider mode. Cruise control and a two-way quickshifter are also part of the package. A six-axis IMU works alongside Continental cornering ABS and cornering traction control, providing the electronic platform intended for operation while the motorcycle is leaned over.

The aluminium two-beam perimeter frame is listed at 11 kg, while the subframe weighs 3.8 kg. Stated weight distribution is 50%-50%. Marzocchi supplies a fully adjustable 48 mm upside-down fork with 180 mm of travel, together with a fully adjustable rear shock using linkage and an external nitrogen reservoir. Braking hardware consists of twin 310 mm semi-floating front discs with Brembo four-piston radial calipers and a 264 mm rear disc.

Touring equipment as standard

The wire-spoke tubeless wheels measure 19 inches at the front and 17 inches at the rear. They carry Michelin Anakee Adventure tyres, described with an 80% road and 20% dirt orientation. A 6.75-inch colour TFT provides four interfaces, navigation mirroring, Bluetooth/Wi-Fi connectivity, TPMS and over-the-air updates. The bike also has an integrated DVR with two Full HD 1080p cameras, 140-degree lenses, an F1.8 aperture and night recording.

Comfort equipment includes a three-level heated seat, heated grips, handguards and an electrically adjustable windscreen. The 22 L tank is paired with Keyless 3.0, illuminated joystick controls, USB-A and USB-C ports rated up to 30 W, and the ZONTES Smart App with 4G/GPS. Protection and practicality come from an aluminium engine guard, stainless-steel crash bars, LED fog lights, a centre stand and factory luggage mounts. Listed weight is 241 kg, including the crash bars, racks, fog lights and centre stand.

ZONTES places the 703F in the context of two demanding expeditions: one from Greece to Iceland, and another from the capital to Shanghai through the Taklamakan Desert, where temperatures reached 50°C. These journeys are part of the company’s presentation of the model and should not be treated as an independent test of the ETC version.
