Lidl’s German online store now offers road-approved 125cc motorcycles as well as scooters, turning an unusual supermarket purchase into a genuine motorcycle sale. The two models attracting most attention are Prike’s PXA 125 Adventure, listed at €2,999, and the PXS 125 Scrambler, priced at €2,799. MotorBike.gr reports that both are part of a wider German catalogue featuring the Prike, Alpha Motors and Luxxon brands.

The offer is handled through Lidl’s online operation in Germany rather than through a conventional in-store motorcycle display. The two Prikes take different approaches to the same budget-focused 125cc formula: the PXA uses adventure styling and equipment, while the PXS adopts a more traditional scrambler appearance. Both are presented as full motorcycles approved for road use, not electric bicycles or toys.

Prike PXA 125 Adventure

The PXA is powered by an air-cooled, four-stroke, single-cylinder 125cc engine with fuel injection. Its listed output is 10 horsepower, equivalent to 7.3 kW, and the engine drives through a six-speed gearbox. The claimed top speed is 85 km/h. Those figures place the emphasis on accessible everyday performance rather than outright speed, while the adventure-inspired bodywork gives the small-capacity motorcycle a more substantial visual presence.

According to the published specification, the PXA has a 15.5-litre fuel tank and quoted fuel consumption of 2.3 litres/100 km. On those figures, the theoretical distance between refuelling stops exceeds 600 km, although actual range will vary with riding conditions and pace. The chassis uses 17-inch spoked wheels with dual-purpose tyres, while stated ground clearance is 260 mm. The quoted weight is 152 kg.

Standard equipment listed for the PXA includes LED lighting, a digital instrument panel, a rear luggage rack and mounting points for side cases. The suspension is described as intended to cope with roads featuring surface imperfections, reinforcing the model’s touring and light-adventure positioning. MotorBike.gr also reports that Lidl is describing demand as high and stock as limited. That comment applies to the German online offer and should not be read as confirmation of a wider launch.

The less expensive PXS Scrambler

The Prike PXS 125 Scrambler is €200 cheaper, with a German Lidl online price of €2,799. Its mechanical layout is similar: a fuel-injected, four-stroke, single-cylinder 125cc engine producing approximately 10 horsepower, a six-speed gearbox and a claimed top speed of 85 km/h. The difference is primarily in presentation and intended character.

Instead of the PXA’s adventure theme, the PXS uses an exposed tank, a brown seat and styling that deliberately references classic scramblers. Its 17-inch wheels are fitted with on-off-style tyres, the seat height is listed as 820 mm and the quoted weight remains 152 kg. At €2,799, it is positioned as the lower-priced entry point to the two Prike motorcycles in the German catalogue.

Scooters broaden the German range

Lidl’s German two-wheeler selection extends beyond the two manual motorcycles. It also includes several 125cc scooters, covering urban designs and models with adventure-inspired styling. One example is the Prike XDV 125, which uses a liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine and automatic transmission.

The XDV’s listed equipment includes ABS, LED lighting, heated grips, keyless starting, USB ports, a centre stand, illuminated switches, an adjustable windscreen and a colour LCD display with tyre-pressure monitoring. The catalogue also includes Alpha Motors’ Alpha Sport Cruiser 300 maxi-scooter, powered by a 276cc engine and listed at €4,449. Other scooters from Alpha Motors and Luxxon make this a broader German online range rather than a one-off motorcycle listing.

For Greek buyers, the important qualification is geographical: the offer described by MotorBike.gr belongs to Lidl Germany. The PXA 125 Adventure and PXS 125 Scrambler are not presented as part of a Lidl Greece launch, so the German prices should not be treated as Greek-market pricing or availability.
