The 2027 KTM 690 Rally will cost £11,499 in the UK and is due to reach dealerships from October, Visordown reports. That puts it close to the Yamaha Ténéré 700 Rally, listed at £11,108 in the same market. KTM is presenting the new motorcycle as the flagship of its middleweight adventure range, although its brief is firmly off-road: the company describes a machine intended for demanding terrain and all-weather travel rather than conventional road touring.

The 690 Rally draws on the 690 Enduro R platform and serves as KTM’s modern link to the 640 Adventure. The earlier model debuted in 1997 with a 625 cc single-cylinder engine built around the LC4 platform, before production ended in 2007. The new motorcycle uses a 692 cc LC4 single producing approximately 78 bhp and 54 lb-ft of torque. KTM’s priorities are extended range, stability and long-distance usability, with the fuel layout and rally-focused bodywork central to that mission.

A dedicated rally tower carries an integrated windshield. Fuel capacity is approximately 20 litres, supplied by a 13-litre main tank and two front-mounted 3.5-litre tanks. Fully adjustable WP XPLOR suspension is fitted front and rear. Brembo braking hardware includes a twin-piston front caliper with a single 300 mm disc, while the rear uses a single caliper and a 240 mm disc. The electronics package brings a dedicated Rally mode, a 4.2-inch TFT display, KTM Quickshifter+ and off-road ABS. Rally mode lets the rider adjust traction control and throttle response for the terrain. KTM will also include its four-year Premium Manufacturer’s Warranty scheme.
