Kawasaki previews a KLE650 with twin front discs
The teaser shows a trellis frame, familiar KLE500 cues and a substantially different front braking layout.

Kawasaki has offered a first look at a motorcycle that appears to be the KLE650, using a teaser video on its official social-media channels. The reveal is deliberately selective, but it shows a clear connection with the KLE500 alongside a significant change at the front of the bike.
A KLE connection without a confirmed carry-over
The motorcycle is shown with a tubular trellis-style frame finished in metallic green. That keeps one of the KLE family’s most recognisable visual signatures, although the frame cannot yet be treated as identical to the one used by the KLE500. The same footage shows crash bars, indicators and auxiliary lights. The crash bars appear very close to the KLE500 items in their relationship to the indicators and the fairing angle, while the overall shape of the front end also looks closely related.
The engine area raises more questions. The right-side clutch cover has a different shape from the KLE500’s cover and sits noticeably nearer to the green frame. That suggests a changed arrangement in this part of the motorcycle, but the engine type remains open: the teaser does not make it possible to determine whether the bike uses a single-cylinder engine or a parallel twin.
Twin discs mark the clearest change
The most definite technical difference is at the front wheel. The motorcycle in the video uses two solid, fixed discs, unlike the KLE500’s single-disc system. That choice is consistent with a model expected to have slightly more performance and greater weight, although the final specification has yet to be established.
A fuller picture is expected soon, with EICMA in Milan only weeks away. The event should clarify the bike’s official name, engine layout and remaining specifications if the motorcycle shown in the teaser is indeed the new KLE650.
