Honda’s new sports concept points towards a CBR750R?
The bright Milan Fashion Week prototype shares key design details with the CB750 Hornet, but its identity remains open.

Honda has unveiled a striking sports prototype at Milan Fashion Week, prompting speculation about a new mid-weight motorcycle. CBR750R is a plausible interpretation of the project, but it is not a confirmed identity and the concept has not yet been established as a production model.
The CB750 Hornet clues
The clearest connection lies in the steel diamond frame. Its layout and the area where the one-piece subframe meets the main frame closely resemble the CB750 Hornet. The footpeg mounting positions and the frame’s proximity to the clutch cover also appear alike. Taken together, those details suggest a possible platform relationship rather than a resemblance limited to the bodywork.
Another clue emerges from the front three-quarter view. Two exhaust downpipes can be seen behind the front wheel through the large opening in the fairing. The engine could be the unit used by the CBR500R, although that possibility has not been confirmed. The prototype’s final engine tune and equipment level are also still open questions.
EICMA, around two months after the reveal, could provide the next opportunity for Honda to add detail. If the project becomes a production motorcycle, it could enter the same broad sports-bike conversation as the Yamaha R9 and Ducati Panigale V2, with a possible horizon of 2027 or later. For now, CBR750R remains a reading of the concept rather than an announced model.
