Flying Flea S6: Royal Enfield moves launch to summer 2027
The electric scrambler returns at EICMA with two colours and a more off-road-oriented specification than the C6.

Royal Enfield’s Flying Flea S6 electric scrambler is now scheduled to reach riders in summer 2027. That is roughly six months later than the earlier indication of a launch towards the end of 2026. The company has shown the motorcycle again at EICMA, a year after its debut, and confirmed two launch colours: Dart Yellow and Lightning Grey.
The S6 is the second model in Royal Enfield’s City+ electric sub-brand. It shares the C6’s lightweight forged-aluminium construction, but its chassis takes a different route. The girder fork, belt drive and cast wheels of the C6 give way to an inverted fork, chain final drive and spoked wheels measuring 19in at the front and 18in at the rear. Dual-purpose tyres, a longer enduro-style seat and increased suspension travel complete a package that Royal Enfield associates with cobbles, tram tracks, rough roads and light trails.
Equipment and performance
Royal Enfield describes the S6’s delivery as “sharp” and “punchy”, but has not released numerical power or performance figures for it. The C6 offers some context: its motor produces 20bhp peak and 11bhp continuously from a 3.91kWh battery. It weighs 124kg, reaches 70mph and recorded about 60 miles of real-world range in a test. The C6 went on sale in the UK in autumn at £5300; the S6 has no announced price.
The S6’s equipment includes a round 3.5in touchscreen running Fleaware.OS, integrated navigation, voice assistance and app connectivity. Its riding modes include a dedicated off-road setting. Lean-sensitive ABS can be disabled completely at both wheels, and traction control is fitted as standard. Although the launch has moved to summer 2027, the S6’s wheel sizes, suspension changes and dual-purpose equipment already give it a distinctly different role from the C6.
