BMW Motorrad has presented the GS Trophy Competition Bike, a competition-specific motorcycle based on the BMW R 12 G/S. The BMW Motorrad International GS Trophy is scheduled to return to Europe in late summer 2026, with the event taking place in Romania.

The 2026 setting is described through Romania’s mountains, forests, rivers and villages. The GS Trophy has been held since 2008, while this motorcycle has been designed exclusively for the competition.

Equipment for the GS Trophy

The Enduro Package Pro brings off-road tires, an 18-inch rear wheel and handlebar risers. Engine protection bars and cylinder head covers add to the equipment intended for off-road use in the event.

The bike also combines competition-oriented equipment with features aimed at control and convenience. Its specification includes Riding Modes Pro, Headlight Pro with adaptive cornering light, Hill Start Control, Gear Shift Assist Pro, heated grips and cruise control. A Rally cockpit fairing, navigation preparation and an Akrapovič silencer are also included. The 5-litre tank bag is used as a rear bag.

A customer recreation is possible

The GS Trophy Competition Bike is not available for purchase in exactly its competition specification. Customers can, however, configure a motorcycle on the basis of the BMW R 12 G/S, with some minor differences; the source specifically identifies the decals as one such detail.

The stated colour scheme uses a Lightwhite uni base colour, blue tank tapes and a red seat. It presents the R 12 G/S as the basis for a competition-focused configuration without making the exact factory competition motorcycle a directly available customer model.
