Aprilia RSV4 Obscure Spe.Ed.: 220 hp, limited to 500 units
The special RSV4 combines a 201 kg running weight with carbon components and RS-GP-derived aerodynamic technology.
Aprilia has introduced the RSV4 Obscure Spe.Ed. at EICMA 2026, creating a more powerful and exclusive version of its RSV4 superbike. Production will be restricted to 500 numbered motorcycles, all wearing black bodywork. Aprilia positions the model at the top end of its range and describes it as the world's most powerful production-homologated superbike.
Carbon parts and RS-GP-inspired aerodynamics
Weight savings come from carbon-fibre parts such as the mudguards and side panels, together with BST wheels. They are over 2 kg lighter than the equivalent forged aluminium wheels. Against the RSV4 Factory, the Obscure Spe.Ed. sheds 3 kg, bringing its running weight to 201 kg. The optional ART exhaust takes the quoted figure down to 196 kg.
The standout aerodynamic feature is the Leg Wings, developed from the RS-GP prototype. Aprilia says they raise rear downforce by 20% and represent a new application for the category. The V4 engine makes 220 hp at 13,000 rpm, while the ART exhaust increases the quoted output to 223.1 hp. Suspension is handled by mechanically adjustable Öhlins units. Standard equipment also includes a six-axis inertial platform, six riding modes, a GPS module, Track Pack and Race Pack.
