KTM will offer the 2027 450 Rally Replica in the United States for the first time, although only in extremely limited numbers. The competition-specification motorcycle is expected to begin arriving at authorized KTM dealers this fall. Motorcycle.com reported the announcement and noted that customers should contact dealers for pricing and availability.

This is not a road-oriented adventure model with rally styling. KTM presents it as a purpose-built machine for multi-stage cross-country competition, developed for experienced racers and privateers who want a motorcycle much closer to a complete competition build. The company describes it as its only customer race model developed, produced and assembled at the official KTM Motorsports facility in Austria.

The 450 Rally Replica’s racing connection runs directly through KTM’s Dakar program. Argentine rider Luciano Benavides won the 2026 Dakar Rally for KTM in January, and KTM says three of its riders have reached the top of the Dakar podium since 2023. The replica is presented as the closest customer model to the factory rally machine behind that recent success, with its components, settings and development shaped by competition experience.

A 450cc engine and competition-focused chassis

Power comes from a 450 cc, fuel-injected SOHC single-cylinder engine. It drives through a six-speed gearbox with rally-specific gearing and uses a Brembo hydraulic clutch. A titanium Akrapovič exhaust system is also part of the specification, combining the competition-focused equipment list with a weight-conscious component choice.

The frame is hydro-formed, laser-cut and hand-welded. KTM says its design balances longitudinal and torsional flex, with the aim of delivering rider feedback alongside stability. Suspension duties are handled by WP XACT PRO equipment: a 48 mm 7548 Closed Cartridge Cone Valve fork at the front and a fully adjustable XACT PRO 7750 shock at the rear. Both ends are intended to provide the range of adjustment required for rally competition, including resistance to bottoming at the fork.

The chassis includes a pair of radiators, designed to share cooling duties and improve resilience if one is damaged by terrain. CNC-machined triple clamps use a 23 mm offset. The upper clamp incorporates KTM’s PHDS system and a SCOTTS steering damper, while the tapered aluminum handlebar uses rally-tested foam-rubber grips. Wider footpegs are included to provide a larger surface for the rider’s boots.

Three tanks and a navigation tower

Fuel is carried in a three-tank arrangement with a total capacity of 9.11 gallons (34.5 liters). That capacity is matched to the demands of long rally stages rather than short trail rides. Brembo braking equipment is also included, though the announcement does not provide individual brake dimensions or performance figures.

A carbon-fiber navigation tower forms the front of the cockpit and is designed to accommodate a digital roadbook, intuitive controls and powerful LED lighting. KTM says the ergonomics are intended to remain comfortable when riding either standing or seated over long distances. The bodywork is shaped to offer protection from the elements without restricting the rider’s ability to move or react quickly, while its aerodynamic treatment supports that same competition-oriented position.

The equipment list continues with factory carbon parts, a Selle Dalla Valle seat and EXCEL wheels fitted with Michelin Starcross 6 Medium/Soft tires. A powerful LED headlight package is intended to improve visibility during early-morning starts and late returns to the bivouac. KTM also identifies the motorcycle as a limited-edition READY TO RACE model, with the carbon rally tower, WP suspension and titanium Akrapovič exhaust among its defining features.

For American customers, the important change is access: the 2027 KTM 450 Rally Replica will be offered in the US for the first time. Its extremely restricted allocation means it will not be a mass-market performance model, and KTM has directed potential buyers to authorized dealers for information about pricing and availability.
