Honda is moving the GL1800 Gold Wing Tour into the 2027 model year with a revised palette rather than a mechanical redesign. The Tour will be offered in Iridium Gray Metallic, Graphite Black and Allumage Blue Metallic. It is a deliberately narrow update for Honda’s flagship touring motorcycle, with the visual treatment doing all the work for the new model year.

The current Gold Wing generation has previously received much more substantial revisions. In 2018, both the GL1800 Gold Wing and Gold Wing Tour gained Honda’s Dual Clutch Transmission as an option, along with several new features and a completely redesigned engine. The powerplant retained its horizontally opposed flat-six layout, but moved to four valves per cylinder and became more compact and lighter. Honda quotes 124.7 bhp at 5,500 rpm for the Gold Wing Tour, which is listed at 374 kg.

The Tour was revised again in 2020 with standard LED fog lights, larger passenger grab handles and an updated suspension unit. Its equipment includes four riding modes —Tour, Sport, Econ and Rain— while the Dual Combined Brake System changes its operation according to the selected mode. Hill Start Assist and Honda Selectable Torque Control are also included, with Idling Stop reserved for the DCT version. The standard GL1800 Gold Wing, first introduced in 1975, also enters 2027 in Gunmetal Black Metallic with Mat Ballistic Black Metallic detailing.
