2027 Ducati Streetfighter V4 SP appears in CARB filing
The regulatory record confirms the variant’s engine and emissions data, but not its complete equipment package.

Ducati is adding a Streetfighter V4 SP to its 2027 range, according to an updated California Air Resources Board (CARB) record. The agency has included the Sport Production version in the executive order covering the Streetfighter V4, providing the first formal indication that the model is on its way.
The filing is useful, but limited in scope. It assigns the Streetfighter V4 SP the same engine and emissions data as the existing Streetfighter V4 models, while offering no information about the rest of the motorcycle. CARB therefore confirms the variant’s regulatory entry, not its full specification or final equipment list.
What Ducati’s earlier SP models tell us
The first Streetfighter V4 SP arrived in 2022 as a more track-oriented version of the production bike. It kept the base engine but added a dry clutch, carbon-fiber wheels and suspension tuning derived from the Panigale. Ducati also fitted a brushed-aluminum fuel tank, machined aluminum rearsets, Brembo Stylema R calipers, an MCS 19/21 front brake master cylinder and a lithium-ion battery.
The 2023 SP2 used much the same formula. Its equipment included a dry clutch, Panigale-derived suspension tuning, carbon-fiber wheels, Stylema R calipers and machined footpegs. The model also received a Winter Test appearance inspired by Ducati’s MotoGP and World Superbike preseason testing colors.
The SP2 remained available for the 2024 and 2025 model years, but did not receive the changes introduced on the 2025 Streetfighter V4. Those updates included a revised engine, a stiffer frame, a double-sided swingarm and electronic revisions. Ducati then removed the SP2 from its 2026 lineup.
That history points toward a familiar approach for the 2027 motorcycle. The new SP could use the current Streetfighter V4 platform and add a dry clutch, upgraded suspension and brakes, distinctive styling, carbon-fiber wheels and machined aluminum footpegs. These are informed expectations, not confirmed specifications. Ducati is expected to formally introduce the motorcycle through a Ducati World Première video in the coming months, ahead of EICMA in November.
