WorldSBK Jerez: Bulega takes the warm-up lead
The world champion edged Sam Lowes, while Alex Lowes was fifth and the fastest rider outside Ducati.

Nicolo Bulega set the pace in the WorldSBK warm-up at Jerez, with the world champion posting a 1m37.907s lap. Sam Lowes came closest to him, finishing just under half a tenth behind to take second place in the session.
The lead moved between several riders before the final order took shape. Alex Lowes was initially quickest, but Bulega returned to the top on his following lap. Iker Lecuona, Bulega’s factory Ducati team-mate, then briefly went fastest before Marc VDS rider Sam Lowes moved ahead.
Lowes held first place until the final 30 seconds, when Bulega produced the lap that settled the session. The result follows Lowes’ unusual Race 1 finish, in which he split Bulega and Lecuona. Alex Lowes ended the warm-up fifth and was the fastest rider outside Ducati, giving the Jerez session a closely contested progression at the front ahead of the rest of the day.
