Nicolo Bulega set the early benchmark in FP1 for the 2026 Spanish WorldSBK round at Circuito de Jerez-Angel Nieto. The Ducati rider posted a 1m38.155s lap in the opening minutes and spent most of the session circulating in the low-to-mid 1m38s range. His first run lasted for the opening 15 minutes, establishing the pace that the rest of the field had to chase.

Sam Lowes ended the session second-fastest, 0.252 seconds off Bulega’s time. Ducati then occupied all of the remaining places in the top five, with Iker Lecuona, Yari Montella and Alberto Surra following the two leaders. That gave the manufacturer a complete lockout of the leading group at the start of Friday’s running.

Alex Lowes was sixth and led the non-Ducati riders. Lorenzo Baldassarri and Axel Bassani followed, while Xavi Vierge and Miguel Oliveira completed the top 10. Bulega’s outright pace, combined with five Ducati machines at the front, made the opening Jerez session a notably strong start to the Spanish round for the Italian manufacturer.
