Nicolo Bulega remains at the head of the WorldSBK standings after Race 1 at Estoril, the 10th round of the 2026 season. The championship was already mathematically settled in Bulega’s favour at Cremona two weeks earlier, but he added another victory by finishing ahead of Iker Lecuona in the opening race of the Estoril round. The result restored Bulega’s advantage over Lecuona to 138 points.

Lecuona stays second, while Yari Montella gave up ground with an eighth-place finish. He is now 212 points behind Lecuona, yet his position in the fight for third remains considerably stronger than Alex Lowes’s challenge. Lowes finished fifth and is 40 points behind Montella in the contest for the position immediately behind the leading pair.

Montella needs to gain 23 points across the two remaining Estoril races to secure third place before the championship moves on to Jerez. The battle lower down the order is tighter: Sam Lowes finished 11th and trails Alex Lowes by 13 points in the fight for fourth. He is also only 21 points clear of Lorenzo Baldassarri, who occupies sixth. The final two races at Estoril therefore still carry meaningful consequences for the positions behind the champion.
