WorldSBK’s published 2027 calendar adds China to the championship for the first time and brings Valencia back after a long absence. The 12-round season opens at Phillip Island on February 19–21 and finishes at Shanghai International Circuit on October 29–31, extending the campaign into the end of October.

Phillip Island is scheduled to host what is described as WorldSBK’s final visit to the Australian circuit. No replacement venue has been named for a possible continuation of racing in Australia beyond 2027. The calendar therefore begins with a familiar stop while also pointing to a significant change in the championship’s overseas presence.

Valencia replaces Jerez

The opening round is followed by Portimao on March 19–21, before the European part of the season reaches Circuit Ricardo Tormo in Valencia on April 2–4. Valencia takes the third date on the schedule and will also host WorldSSP, WorldSPB and WorldWCR competition. MotorLand Aragon remains the second Spanish venue, with its meeting set for May 21–23.

The Valencia return comes as Jerez is removed from the schedule. Jerez is due to undergo pit-complex upgrades ahead of the 2027 MotoGP Spanish Grand Prix, scheduled for May 7–9. Hungary’s Balaton Park also drops out, with the two venues replaced by Valencia and Shanghai in the new calendar.

A Chinese finale at Shanghai

Shanghai International Circuit becomes WorldSBK’s second new venue on the calendar and the championship’s first stop in China. The circuit hosted MotoGP from 2006 to 2008 and currently stages Formula 1, giving the new finale a recent history of major international racing. Shanghai is also described as the only Chinese circuit currently holding the safety certification required for WorldSBK competition.

The middle of the season follows a largely European route. Assen hosts the fourth round on April 16–18, followed by Aragon, Autodrom Most on June 4–6, Misano on June 18–20 and Donington Park on July 9–11. After the summer break, Magny-Cours resumes the championship on September 3–5, with Cremona and Estoril completing the European portion before the trip to China.
