Lorenzo Baldassarri stays with GoEleven Ducati for 2027 WorldSBK
The Italian will contest a second season with the satellite Ducati team after scoring two podiums in his first campaign.

GoEleven Ducati has confirmed Lorenzo Baldassarri for the 2027 WorldSBK season. The Italian will remain with Ducati’s satellite operation after taking two podium finishes during his first campaign with the team.
The deal gives Baldassarri continuity after several changes in his recent career. He dropped off the WorldSBK grid at the end of 2023 following a difficult Yamaha season, returned to World Supersport in 2024 and moved to MotoE for 2026. GoEleven selected him to replace Andrea Iannone, a rider who has won one MotoGP race.
A comeback rewarded with another year
Baldassarri described the current season as a fantastic one, highlighting his consistent pace and steadiness. He said GoEleven backed him after he had changed teams, motorcycles and categories during a period when both confidence and results had been hard to find. In his view, the partnership now has a reliable starting point for every circuit, giving the 2027 project a clear foundation.
The renewal follows earlier links between GoEleven and a possible move for Alex Rins to WorldSBK in 2027. Rins has announced that he is retiring from motorcycle racing and has hinted at a possible switch to car racing. Baldassarri will instead continue with the Ducati squad, saying he is eager to begin another season with the team.
Trust drives the decision
Team boss Denis Sacchetti identified the harmony inside the garage and the mutual trust developed through the work as the main reasons to continue together. He added that Baldassarri had impressed GoEleven from the opening race and that another year of experience could produce a particularly strong 2027 campaign. The team says it is enthusiastic and motivated for what comes next.
