CFMoto 675SR-R to become WorldWCR bike from 2027
The approximately 90 bhp 675SR-R replaces the Yamaha R7 and will be the championship’s sole motorcycle through 2029.

CFMoto will take over as WorldWCR’s motorcycle supplier in 2027, replacing Yamaha. The move affects the women-only circuit championship staged within the WorldSBK paddock and brings the 675SR-R in as the common race platform for the entire field.
WorldWCR began in 2024 as the top level of women-only circuit racing, initially serving as a WorldSBK support class. Its machinery to date has been a near-production Yamaha R7, powered by a twin-cylinder engine making around 70 bhp. CFMoto’s 675SR-R is listed at approximately 90 bhp, placing it nearer the middle of the power range used by World Sportbike motorcycles.
One motorcycle for three seasons
The 675SR-R will be the sole WorldWCR model during the 2027, 2028 and 2029 seasons. The agreement arrives in the championship’s fourth year while preserving its single-specification technical basis. WorldSBK executive director Gregorio Lavilla said the CFMoto would give riders a more powerful motorcycle to learn, while equal technical conditions would continue to keep rider ability at the centre of the competition.
The bike’s output is closer to the middle of the World Sportbike power spectrum, a category that uses performance balancing between manufacturers. The change also comes as WorldSBK prepares for its first visit to China in 2027, with Shanghai announced as the final round on the following year’s calendar. Samantha Liu, general manager of CFMoto’s motorsports management center, called the supplier agreement an important new chapter in the company’s international racing programme and linked it to CFMoto’s longer-term support for motorcycle racing and women’s competition.
