Nicolo Bulega won all three races at the French WorldSBK round at Magny-Cours, taking his season total to 26 victories. One more win would match Alvaro Bautista’s season tally from 2023.

The result also reflected the competitive dynamic with team-mate Iker Lecuona. Bulega said he responds with more effort when Lecuona raises the level of the challenge, while describing him as very strong throughout the weekend. Lecuona, meanwhile, said he believed he had been stronger on used tyres and that the timing of the red flag had affected him in Race 1.

A clear result, but not a complete race-distance picture

Bulega won Race 2 by more than five seconds, although the race was shortened by one lap after a red flag. The available evidence does not state how many laps were completed in either Race 1 or Race 2, so the result alone does not establish a full-distance pace comparison.

The title could be decided at Cremona

Bulega leads Lecuona by 146 points before Cremona. Two championship rounds will remain afterwards, with 124 points available according to the supplied figures. On that basis, Bulega would become champion at Cremona if he loses no more than 22 points to Lecuona there. The title is therefore a possibility at the next round, not a confirmed outcome.

Bulega said his priority at Cremona would remain winning races rather than focusing only on securing the championship. He also said Cremona could be where he wins the title, while noting that he had previously won three races there against Toprak Razgatlioglu after expecting the round to be difficult.
