World Supercross cancels British GP as investment talks continue
SX Global has cancelled the Birmingham round while discussions over significant new investment in the championship continue.

The FIM World Supercross Championship has cancelled its British Grand Prix, scheduled for 10 October in Birmingham. The event was due to take place less than three weeks later and had been positioned as one of the championship’s headline races.
SX Global, the series promoter, links the decision to ongoing discussions over significant new investment in World Supercross. The company says those talks are progressing positively, but that more time and due diligence are needed before an agreement can be completed. It describes the cancellation as part of short-term operational measures intended to keep the investment process moving and support the championship’s longer-term growth.
Ticket refunds
Ticketmaster is expected to email ticket holders within 24 hours. Refunds will be issued automatically to the original payment method, and SX Global says customers should receive the money within 14 to 21 days.
SX Global acknowledged the disappointment the cancellation will cause for fans, teams, riders and partners, while stressing the importance of World Supercross’s following in Britain. The championship’s teams have released a joint statement backing the series and confirming their commitment to compete when it returns. SX Global also says it remains confident in the championship’s future.
