The 2026 British Superbike title will be settled at Brands Hatch, where Kyle Ryde carries a clear advantage into the closing races against Scott Redding. The two riders have been the defining forces of the season, combining for 23 of the 30 race victories contested so far.

Ryde, 29, is the reigning champion from the past two seasons and leads Redding by 48 points. His consistency has been a major part of that advantage, with only rare finishes outside the podium positions. Redding nevertheless kept the contest alive by winning the opening race of the final round after starting 11th on the grid. His only previous BSB title came in 2019.

Redding realistically needs to win both remaining races to overturn the deficit. The title contenders are both campaigning Ducati Panigale V4 R machinery, but Ryde still has the stronger position in the standings. The remaining schedule begins with a 12-lap Sprint at 1pm and concludes with Race 3 later the same day. Victory in that final race is worth 35 points, the same winning allocation used in the opening race of the final round.

Ryde is also chasing a place in BSB history. Should he secure the championship, he will become the first rider since Niall Mackenzie to win three consecutive BSB titles. Mackenzie completed that run from 1996 to 1998, adding historical significance to the final outcome at Brands Hatch.
