Motodynamics Rally Team is preparing for its first desert-rally entry, with Kimon Karampelas representing the Greek outfit at the 2026 ADDAX Rally in Morocco. He will compete on a Yamaha Ténéré, taking the team into an environment far removed from its familiar racing ground and defined by sand.

The event is scheduled for 25–30 October in the Merzouga area. Its programme covers approximately 1,800 kilometres of routes across five days of competition, with sand, rocks and dunes forming the principal terrain.

A first step into desert rally

That combination is expected to keep the rhythm changing throughout the event, while calling for different technique, new lines and constant adaptation from both rider and team. For Motodynamics Rally Team, the entry is therefore more than another date on the calendar: it is the team’s first move into a different form of rally competition.

The team sees the ADDAX Rally as an opportunity to test its limits and build valuable experience on sand. With Karampelas aboard the Ténéré, the appearance in Merzouga marks a new stage in Motodynamics Rally Team’s racing path.
